Federal (Obama Plan):

  • Customer is to contact their CPA on Section 179D for added Federal deductions.
  • Max is $0.60/sf for system or $1.80/sf for whole building capped at 50% of annual savings (ASHRAE 90 1-2001) on lighting & HVAC upgrades.
  • This goes from 2006 through 2013
  • Wind, solar & geothermal heat pump as well as fuel cells applicable too

Snohomish County PUD:

  • Program based on Seattle City Light’s policy of $0.20 per KWH saved in 1st year up to 70% of retrofit cost.

PSE:

  • PSE has the most comprehensive programs available.  Includes:  7-day programmable thermostats ($50); high efficiency HVAC units ($30 per ton), variable speed drives ($100 per horsepower), and electronically commutated motors ($0.12/SF covered by fan).  Also for service on gas boilers ($600 per unit), and HVAC systems ($1,260 per unit).

Cascade Natural Gas (Arlington North):

  • Lots of programs:  Tankless HWT (up to $40/GPM); boiler vent damper ($1,000); 90% boiler ($2/KBTUH); Radiant Heater ($6.50/KBTUH); 86% unit heater ($1.50/KBTUH); 91% Gas furnace ($3/KBTUH).
